Disability London Youth Games

The Disability London Youth Games runs over seven sports against 33 other London Boroughs:

This year there are 7 events for Kingston athletes

  • Athletics Boys (MLD & SLD)
  • Athletics Girls (MLD  & SLD))
  • Boccia (SLD)
  • Football Boys (MLD)
  • Football Girls (MLD)
  • Swimming Boys (MLD & SLD)
  • Swimming Girls (MLD & SLD)

This is an excellent opportuntiy for enthusiastic sports performers to take part. If you or an athlete is interested in finding out if they are elligible please contact the Sports Events Coordinator on 0208 547 5006

200metres

Emma De Whalley won silver in the long jump and finished strongly in the 200metres

 

Olympic Athlete

Jamie Houle with Bethany Woodward who also has cerebral palsy -World Champion at 400metres. Jamie won silver in the Turbo Javelin and competed hard in the 100metres

 

Other athletic news was two gold medals for Jack Binstead in the wheelchair sprint over 100 and 200 metres. Nicholas Silver blasted through to gold in the shot putt.

Athletes also competed in disability football where the boys finished the highest for years (13th).

Swimming saw an individual medal for Georga Indge and classified swimmer Thomas Urry broke his personal best

 

Girls Football Team

The Girls football team finished 9th with their silky skills and lot's of goals.
