Mayor's Cricket Cup
We organised this event in partnership with Surrey County and Chessington Cricket Club.
The Mayor's Cricket Cup was started by Councillor Shiraz Mirza during his role as Mayor, and Councillor David Booth. The first competition was held in 2001 and in 2003 a girl's competition was added to the event.
2008 Tournament
The 2008 tournament was held at Chessington Cricket Club on Wednesday 21 May. In all there were 8 boys teams and 3 girls teams. The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston Councillor David Berry attended this event and supported and watched the teams.
Trophies and medals were presented at the end of the day by Councillor Shiraz Mirza and Chris Bullen CDM from Surrey County Cricket.
