This Award is given annually to young people of school age for their sporting excellence.

The aim is to give all children who live or attend school in the Royal Borough of Kingston and who achieve sporting excellence at specific levels, the opportunity to be recognised for their sporting achievements.

The Criteria for these awards is as follows:-

• Candidates must have represented County or higher in their chosen sport, this sport must also be recognised by Sport England.
• Candidates must either live or go to school in the Royal Borough of Kingston.
• Candidates must be of school age 18 years and under (Includes sixth form & college).    

Nominations are invited from schools, clubs and governing bodies the Award is usually presented by the Mayor of Kingston. Each sporting achiever receives a certificate, signed by the Worshipful the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston and can also purchase a Borough Badge.
