London Youth Games Qualifiers 2008
Kingston's Teams have been busy over the past couple of months competing in the London Youth Games. Below you can see a sport by sport breakdown on how each team has got on.
Basketball (Boys)
The Boys Basketball qualifiers took place on Sunday 1st June 2008 at The Score Centre East London. Managed by Marvin Addy (Community Sports Coach for Basketball) The boys were up against Ealing, Harrow, Camden & Bexley. The boys played very well and finished joint 22nd overall.

Basketball (Girls)
The Girls Basketball qualifiers took place on Saturday 31st May 2008 at The Score Centre East London. Managed by Marvin Addy (Community Sports Coach for Basketball). The girls were up against Ealing, Harrow & Lambeth. The girls worked hard and played well as a team. They finished joint 13th overall.

Badminton
The Badminton qualifiers took place on Saturday 7th June 2008 at Sobell Sports Centre North London. Managed by Kris Ramjeawon ( Coombe Badminton Club). The team was made up of boys and girls who competed in singles, doubles & mixed double matches. Kingston were up against Waltham Forrest & Havering. The team finished 9th overall.

Hockey (Girls)
The Girls Hockey qualifiers took place on Saturday 14th June 2008 at Redbridge Sports Centre. Managed by Erica Callard-Williams (Mid Surrey Ladies Hockey Club). The girls were up against Richmond, Croydon, Waltham Forest, Redbridge & Wandsworth. The girls were up against older & experienced teams and played with enthusiasm & determination. We are awaiting the results from the organisers.
Hockey (Boys)
The Boys Hockey qualifiers took place on Sunday 15th June 2008 at Redbridge Sports Centre. Managed by Jonathan Tapp ( OKs Hockey Club). The boys were up against Barnet, Havering, Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, Richmond, Merton & Hillingdon. The boys played extremely well and won there group. In doing so the boys have made it through to the Hockey Finals taking place on Sunday 6th July 2008 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
Squash (Boys)
The Boys Squash qualifiers took place on Saturday 14th June 2008 at Redbridge Sports Centre. Managed by Michael Hennings ( Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club). The boys were up against Havering & Redbridge and successfully made it through to the finals. It was a hard fought match and Kingston were narrowly beaten. The boys finished a superb 4th overall.
Squash (Girls)
The Girls Squash qualifiers took place on Saturday 14th June 2008 at Redbridge Sports Centre. Managed by Michael Hennings ( Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club). The girls were up against Bromley, Camden, Merton, Redbridge & Wandsworth. The girls finished 7th overall.
Trampolining
The Trampolining qualifiers took place on Saturday 14th June 2008 at Redbridge Sports Centre. Managed by Rob Baker( Kingston Trampoline Academy). The team consisted of boys and girls who had very tough competition this year. It was very close at the top and Kingston finished a fantastic 2nd overall with Ross Harding winning an individual Gold medal in the men's competition.
