Kingston Cricketers compete at London Youth Games 2008

Kingston’s young cricketers made a great start at the London Youth Games Cricket Competition at Harrow Leisure Centre on Sunday 17 February 2008. After weeks of training with coaches from Malden Wanderers Cricket Club the Kingston team was raring to go.

Kingston was drawn against Camden and Hounslow. Kingston played really well against Camden in their first game, beating them by 36 runs. Next up was Hounslow which proved to be more of a tricky game. Kingston battled well but Hounslow ran out the eventual winner beating Kingston by a wicket with an over to spare. Unfortunately this meant Kingston did not progress to the next round of the competition but the boys played both games with great spirit and determination.
