The London Youth Games provides opportunities for young people of any ability to participate in sporting competitions. This prestigious annual event involves all 32 London Boroughs and the City of London with over 20,000 competitors taking part.. The competition is based on the concept of the Olympic Games and includes over 40 sports and is the largest sports event in Europe.
To compete for Kingston you must be under 18 years of age and either live in or attend a school within the Borough.
This year there were 7 events to choose from, they are:
·Athletics - Boys Disability
·Athletics - Girls Disability
·Boccia - Boys & Girls Disability
·Football - Boys Disability
·Football - Girls Disability
·Swimming - Boys Disability
·Swimming - Girls Disability
This year Team Kingston took part in the London Youth Games Disability Events. Children from across the borough represented Kingston at Athletics, Boccia, Football & Swimming. Kingston came away with 12 medals this year. A fantastic achievement and a vast improvement from last year when we won 4 medals.
