Balfour Beatty London Youth Games 2010 Cricket Team await the competition draw

LYGcricket trialists

Record numbers are set to take part in this year’s cricket competitions at the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games. All 33 boroughs will be represented in the 2010 competition, consisting of 886 youngsters  Kingston cricketers have been attending trials for the opportunity to represent Kingston and win a place in the top eight to reach the Finals at Lords Cricket Ground.

The Active Kingston Team in partnership with Special Olympics Surrey and Kingstonian Youth FC are pleased to offer FREE football sessions for boys & girls aged 8 to 18 who have a learning disability.

These sessions are led by coaches from Kingstonian Youth FC & form part of Kingstonian Youth FC and Special Olympics Surrey FC. Young people will have the opportunity to take part in competitions & leagues.

INSPIRE

Be Inspired

INSPIRE (INclusive SPort In Recreation and Exercise) are open to anybody with a disability/special needs aged 8 to 80 and gives you the opportunity to play various sports such as: Basketball, Cricket, Short Tennis, Volleyball plus much more.

Sessions are every fortnight 6.00pm to 8.00pm and cost £3.00 per session (term time only).There is no need to book just come along on the day. The sessions take place at Chessington Sports Centre, Garrison Lane, Chessington KT9 2JS.

  • FANS Card - The Free Access for National Sports People (FANS) Scheme provides sportspeople of a national level with FREE access to gyms in Kingston.
  • Active Living Passports and Walks around the borough maps are free to residents within the Royal Borough of Kingston aged over 45. Passport holders are rewarded for exercising with incentives and prizes, are kept informed and supported and are invited to special events.
