2. Areas where help is needed in the Museum and Local History Room

We are looking for help stewarding in the Museum’s art gallery (greeting visitors and recording visitor numbers, looking after the temporary exhibitions, etc.) In the Local History Room we need help with developing finding aids, helping with enquiries, cataloguing and helping out where needed; however, we would like to know how else you would like to help.

It would be very helpful if you could please give as much information as possible to ensure that we use your skills, knowledge and experience to the maximum. Please say where you would be willing to work: in the Museum or Local History Room, either or both.  

Availability

The Museum is open daily to the public from 10am to 5pm, excluding Wednesdays and Sundays, although we may require help on those days when special events, school visits or open days take place or when working on jobs that can't easily be done when the Museum is open. Most private views for the temporary exhibitions are held on Friday evenings. The Local History Research Room at North Kingston Centre is open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am to 5pm, and on Tuesdays, 10am to 7pm. Please indicate below the hours and times that you would be willing to give to helping us.
