Museum Shop

Pottery by Margaret Haslam

Kingston Museum has a gift shop where a wide range of gifts, cards, souvenirs and local books may be purchased by visitors. Selected items are also available to purchase online.

Gifts include pottery made exclusively for the museum by local artist, Margaret Haslam.  Margaret can be commissioned to personalise a dish or other item for a special occasion or person--or your pet.  New items in the range are always being added.

The Museum also sells tea towels, cards, affordable jewellery, items for children and fancy stationery.  A range of Eadweard Muybridge products: books, T-shirts, tea towels, cards, notelets and flick books commemorates this internationally significant Kingston-born pioneer photographer.

The Museum Shop is a good port of call for publications and other items for school projects.  We also publish a series of themed fact sheets on local history topics.  These can be posted to you on receipt of payment and a stamped addresssed envelope (minimum size DL). The following fact sheets are available:

  • Picton's Progress, the story of Cesar Picton from Senegal (50 pence)
  • The Coronation Stone (20 pence)
  • John Galsworthy in Coombe (50 pence)
  • Medieval Undercroft and Bridge Remains in the basement of the John Lewis Store (50 pence)
  • The Stained Glass Windows in Kingston Museum (50 pence)

New items are being added to the shop constantly and often link to our temporary exhibition themes so please visit to see our current products.

Enquiries about the Museum Shop should be addressed to Sandra Murphy on Sandra.Murphy@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or telephone 020 8547 6465 or 6460.

Currently, the online shop includes a representative selection only of the range of gifts, souvenirs and publications available to personal callers to the museum shop.  However, we will be expanding the site from time to time to include additional items including more books, souvenirs and gifts.  Please contact us if you do not see what you want on the online shop and we will do our best to help.
