Museum Shop

Pottery by Margaret Haslam

Kingston Museum has an attractive gift shop where a wide range of gifts, cards, souvenirs and local history books may be purchased by visitors, with some selected items also available to purchase online. Many of the products for sale are unique to the Museum gift shop, focusing on the history of Kingston upon Thames, and featuring images from the Museum collections and designs by local artists.

Gifts include a delightful collection of slipware pottery handmade exclusively for the museum by local potter, Margaret Haslam, featuring a decorative interpretation of the Kingston Three Fishes emblem on a range of mugs, jugs, plates and bowls. Margaret can be commissioned to personalise a dish or other item for a special occasion or person: please enquire in the shop.

The Museum also sells a range of Kingston souvenirs including tea towels, key rings, lapel pins and coasters, plus a large selection of postcards and greetings cards featuring local images from the Museum collections. A wide selection of Kingston local history titles are available on our book department, with an emphasis on the life and work of Eadweard Muybridge , the internationally significant Kingston-born pioneer photographer. Muybridge’s work on the moving image also inspires a range of lenticular cards, flick books, stationery and optical and animation toys.

New items are being added to the shop constantly and often link to our temporary exhibition themes, so please visit to see our current products.
