The Kingston Royal Walkabout
Funded by 'Awards for All' and a grant from the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, a Heritage Trail will be launched at the end of August by the Friends of Kingston Museum & Heritage Service. Produced in association with the Kingston Tour Guides and the Kingston upon Thames Society, this colourful leaflet to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, will take visitors on a 'Royal Walkabout' around Kingston Town Centre pointing out numerous and unexpected royal connections in the Town and Museum. Beautifully illustrated by artist John Richards, the leaflet will be widely available locally in the Museum, Tourist Information Centre and the Libraries and is free of charge.
