Kingston Museum has purchased a number of artefacts over the years with the assistance of the National Art Collections Fund.
The Fund has supported public collections throughout the United Kingdom since 1903, helping to buy works of every kind. An independent charity financed by its members, it has backed over 850,000 acquisitions from Old Masters to contemporary pieces--an average of one work of art for every hour that the Art Fund has been in existence.
The Art Fund has helped Kingston Museum purchase items that it could not otherwise have afforded. Kingston Museum would also like to acknowledge and thank the V&A/Purchase Grant Fund, the Museum Friends and many local contributors in Kingston upon Thames for their assistance in providing the balance of funds needed for purchasing these important items.
