Kingston Museum

Open: Daily 10 am to 5pm except Wednesday and Sundays.

Please note that the Museum closes on most Bank Holidays, between Christmas and New Year and from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
The Museum is, however, open on the first Bank Holiday in May for Kingston's May Merrie event.

Open: Monday, Thursday and Friday 10am to 1pm and 2 to 5pm. Tuesday 10 am to 1pm and 2 to 7pm (9pm during adult eduaction term time).
Closed every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, between Christmas and New Year and from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
The Room is generally closed for two weeks in the summer for stocktaking.

Access Information

Museum

  • Admission: £1 for adults; free admission for young people 16 years of age and under, members of the Friends of Kingston Museum & Heritage Service and members of the National Art Collections Fund.  
  • Bell at front entrance for wheelchair users
  • Parking at rear of building for disabled people by prior arrangement (020 8547 6460).
  • Alternative access for wheelchair users from rear car park.  Door bell.
  • Level access into building
  • Four steps to Muybridge Gallery.  Level access through Kingston Library by prior arrangement
  • First floor accessible by lift
  • Induction loop in the first floor art gallery
  • Wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor

North Kingston Centre: Local History Room

  • Free admission
  • Level access to building
  • Parking
  • Wheelchair accesible toilet on ground floor
  • Local History Room situated on the first floor
  • Key assisted lift to first floor available by prior arrangement
