Reading Groups

Do you love reading?
Do you enjoy talking about books?
Would you like to share your ideas for a good read?

Discover new authors and titles, widen your reading choice and meet other readers in a friendly, informal setting.

We have evening Reading Groups at Surbiton and Kingston libraries, and daytime groups at Hook, Tudor Drive, Old Malden and New Malden.
We have a crime genre readers group which meets at Hook library, Imaginasian at New Malden and a Tamil reading group also at New Malden library.

To join a Reading Group look online for details or email our Reader Development Officer at fiona.allison@rbk.kingston.gov.uk.

The library service can offer a range of support to independently run book groups across the Borough, including:

  • providing, for loan, multiple copies of books from the dedicated reading group sets held by the library service;
  • advice and help in setting up a group;
  • longer loans on a dedicated book group library ticket;
  • the chance to join in book related events, such as author visits and "shadowing" the book prizes.

For further information, or any other reading group enquiries, please contact: Fiona Allison, Reader Development Officer
fiona.allison@rbk.kingston.gov.uk.
