Sharing Stories


Tuesdays from 11 November 1.30 - 2.45pm. In association with Family Learning, this is a six-week series of activities for parents of children aged 3-7 for whom English isn’t their first language. It aims to help them help their children with reading, make puppets, choose books and more. For more information call Family Learning on 020 8547 6720.

Make your own Christmas cards using Publisher


Monday 17 November 2 - 4pm. A beginner’s course covering the basics of using Publisher 2007 and how to design and create personalised Christmas Cards.

Make a festive greeting letter using Word


Monday 24 November 2 - 4pm. A beginner’s course covering the basics of using Microsoft Word and how to design and create personalised Christmas Letters.

Free Story and Rhymetime Sessions


Mondays Storytime for under fives 10.30am to 11.15am.
Tuesdays Baby and Toddler Rhyme Time for 0 to 3 year olds 10.15am to 11.15am. (Term time only)

Homework Club for ages 8 to 14


This is held each Thursday in term-time from 4pm to 5.15 pm with a children's librarian and the IT officer on hand to help with any queries.

Get into Work group (free)


This session runs every Monday morning 9.30am to 12noon. New Malden IT Suite are running sessions to help any unemployed people who want to use the facilities to help them get back to work. We are offering opportunities for:

  • IT training and certification
  • Help with producing a CV
  • Searching on line for jobs
  • Downloading job applications
  • Applying for jobs online
  • Basic Skills training

CLIK 200 and 201 (Computer Literacy in Kingston)


Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am to 12pm
In partnership with Kingston Adult Education (KAE), these are multi-week courses covering all aspects of computing for beginners. For more information call KAE on 8547 6700.

Silver Surfers


Fortnightly on Saturdays from 9.30 - 11.30. This is an initiative in collaboration with the U3A; a fortnightly chance to help older people become more confident in using computers. Tickets £1 per session.

Chatterbooks Junior Reading Group for 8 - 11's


Monthly on Friday afternoons from 4.15 to 5.00
Each month we look at books by different authors and talk about the books we've all been reading. Chatterbooks readers also get the chance to see the new books before anyone else.

ImaginAsian


ImaginAsian meets every eight weeks at New Malden Library on Wednesday afternoons from 1.30pm to 2.30pm to discuss books written in English by Asian authors.
