Hook and Chessington Library is located in the Hook Centre.
As well as the library the Hook Centre houses a council helpdesk, citizens advice bureau, community hall and meeting rooms, learning centre, recording studio, Chessington and Hook voluntary care scheme, cafe and public toilets. For full details of these services please see the Hook Centre page.
Late night opening at the library
The library is open between 8pm to 10pm every Tuesday. This is a basic service to allow people to borrow and return books (but not audio visual material) using the self service facility. People can also use the public computers, have quiet space for studying, check the library catalogue and use the online reference materials. Library staff will not be present but there is security presence in the building which will be monitored by CCTV.
