Library Branches

Map of Libraries in the Borough

There are seven branch libraries in Kingston upon Thames as well as a Community library. All the branches stock books, storytapes/CDs, audio CDs, language tapes/CDs, videos and DVDs and much more, whilst in our library buildings we offer internet access and the use of office software.

The library provides an ideal learning environment and in our IT suites we offer the 'virtual training suite' with over 1,000 free courses, as well as tutored courses such as ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).

Reference facilities include books and also online directories such as Know UK and the Oxford English Dictionary. The  online reference room has more details on this.

Libraries host activities for children, including homework clubs, storytimes and craft-making, whilst reading groups for adults and children are held in many of our  branches.

Our Community Library is based in Surbiton and visits are made to housebound people, day centres and homes. Members can not only borrow from the full range of library stock but jigsaws are also available.
