Kingston Arts Council is the umbrella organisation for the arts in Kingston. Their mission is to promote and support the arts locally and the interests of its members. Global Arts Kingston aims to foster a rich mix of culturally diverse arts activities in the borough. Projects include developing opportunities for artists from black and ethnic communities. It has presented numerous events since its inception in 2001 such as Bollywood and Beyond fashion and dance shows. Global Arts also participates in other major local celebrations. MeWe is a London-based organisation that educates children and young people (5 - 18) through performing arts by creating opportunities for them to be involved in music, drama, dance and multi-media productions.
