Service user involvement is a crucial part of the review process. Service user involvement is also required for service providers to achieve high gradings for their service. Providers must be able to demonstrate, that service users are involved and consulted about their service. This must be on a regular basis and it must be useful and meaningful to boht the service user and provider.
Service users will be informed prior to the review and will be invited to participate in group sessions or on a one to one basis. Where possible review officers will try to use any existing meetings to minimise any disruption to service users, but we may also speak to service users individually. If anyone would like to speak to the review officers confidentially, then any service user can request a one to one interview.
Service users will also be able to complete a written questionnaire on their service, and this will be taken into account when we are assessing the service. The questionnaire should be sent to service users prior to the review and can be returned directly to the Supporting People Team.
