The council has a number of parking spaces and garages available for renting on housing estates or housing blocks.
Anybody can apply to rent these but applicants will need to meet certain criteria to be eligible to join the waiting lists.
Priority for offering a tenancy is given to council tenants and leaseholders. Firstly, to those living on the estate or in the block.

Please note that we cannot accept applications from council tenants or leaseholders in arrears of rent, service charges or major works charges.
Garages and parking spaces are let on a weekly tenancy for a weekly charge. This example Tenancy Agreement details the terms and conditions of the letting.
If you are interested in applying for a garage or parking space please download and complete the Application Form and return to the Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU. If you are unable to download the form please contact us on 020 8547 5003 and ask for an application form to be posted to you.
When we receive your completed form and established that you are eligible to go on the waiting lists you will be added to the list for your chosen location. When a vacancy becomes available matching your location you will be contacted and asked to supply relevant information.

Please make sure that you give the following information in your notice;
If you simply stopusing your garage or parking space and do not terminate the tenancy by serving notice you will still be charged.
If you stop paying rent without serving notice you will continue to be charged and we willtake recovery action and change any locks. Youwill then becontactedfor outstanding payment.
