We are very keen to hear what people have to say about our plans for meeting the Government's Transforming Social Care agenda! You can find more information about the national programme as well as our own local report at the bottom of this page.

Our consultation period runs from 19 January until 18 May 2010. After that, we will write a report detailing the results to our consultation and setting out our plans for the future to the Executive committee to consider in June 2010.

We have put together some questions which we think will help people to get involved with our plans. You can decide to answer them if you wish or feedback your own views or comments. Our consultation questions are:

1. Do you feel you understand what we are trying to achieve?
2. Will the planned changes directly affect you as a service user/staff member/member of a voluntary organisation/ independent provider/ member of the public?
3. What benefits and improvements do you think our new approach to supporting people might bring?
4. What difficulties or challenges do you think this new approach might bring?
5. What improvements would you suggest to our new approach?
6. Would you like to be involved in putting our plans into practice?
7. How would you like to be kept informed about developments?

We will be holding some public meetings over the next few weeks. Details of these meetings will put out on this page and will be sent out to all our partner organisations and colleagues.

We understand that some people may find it difficult to attend or take part in open meetings. Therefore we are happy to meet people individually if that is more suitable for them.

We are happy to come along to any organisational or group meetings you may have arranged so you can have your say about our plans.
