This Directory provides a detailed list of social care, community support, health and housing services for adults in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
- Quality in Community Care Services - A Strategic Framework (2005-2010).
This document sets out a framework for making sure that our services are developed and provided on the basis of clear and measureable standards to meet the needs of service users and carers.
- Framework for Commissioning Community Care Services (2008-2013)
This document describes how we plan, arrange and quality check services to meet local health and social care needs. We welcome contact from providers of services who are interetsed in developing new services in the Borough. Our contact details can be found on the last page of the document.

- Charging for non-residential services (2010-2011).
This document sets out our policy for charging for non-residential services such as Home Care services, the shopping service and the laundry service.
- Suspected Abuse of Vulnerable Adults: Joint Policy and Procedure (June 2009)
This document sets out our approach to the suspected abuse of adults. The approach is a shared one between Community Care Services, Kingston Primary Care Trust, South West London and St.George's Mental Health NHS Trust, Kingston Hospital NHS Trust, and the Metropolitan Police.
- User Participation Strategy (December 2001).
This document sets out how we will involve service users in decisions about their own services and in the planning, management and development of services for the community.
- Carers’ Strategic Framework ( 2008-2013)
This framework is a joint effort between Kingston Community Care Services, Kingston Primary Care Trust and South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. The purpose of the framework isto make sure that appropriate services are developed and provided to support carers and promote service user independence within the resources available. It aims to build on the current partnership between carers and Community Services, Health Services and Independent Agencies in improving support for carers. The Strategy includes an Action Plan to put the framework into practice.

- 'Personal Budgets - Living your life your way' - this leaflet tells you all about getting a sum of money to arrange your own care and support instead of getting a service from us.
- Community Care publications list (February 2005):
This list sets out all our public information leaflets and booklets, including an order form.
- Guide to Community Care Services for adults (2009)
A guide to all our services including help to support you to live at home, help for you to support your relative or friend, and help to choose a care home.
- 'Better Care, Higher Standards' Charter (January 2005)
The Charter tells everyone who needs care or support over the long term what you can expect from your local Housing, Health and Social Services.
- Blue Badge Parking Scheme (June 2010)
This leaflet explains how to apply for a Blue Badge. This badge allows you to park in more convenient places if you are severely disabled or blind. The leaflet includes an application form.

This directory has been produced by Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Community Care Services, in order to provide information on Black and Minority Ethnic groups and organisations who support the health and social care needs of the Royal Borough of Kingston’s residents.

- Review of the Community Mental Health Teams in Kingston (June 2009) - This report describes a review of the role, function and number of CMHTs in Kingston in light of recent service developments. The review concludes that the current number and role of CMHTs should remain the same but that a number of action points should be addressed.
