We want to make sure that everyone living in the Royal Borough of Kingston who has a health and social care need is able to get the help they need.
We in Community Care Services will continue to directly support those people who need the most help to stay independent, safe and well.
To make sure that people with lower level support needs get the information, advice and support they need to stay independent, safe and well, we have been working with our voluntary sector colleagues to produce an 'Independence and Wellbeing Plan'. The Plan was consultated on between February and April 2008.
Following the consultation, our Plan has been updated to include people's feedback (See 'Summary of consultation feedback' below under 'Related documents')
We are very grateful to our partner organisations, to the people using our services, and to residents who had been involved in the consultation and in helping us to develop our Plan.
We will now begin to put our Plan into practice! There are a number of things we need to do over the next 3 years to make our Plan happen (See below under 'Related documents').
The Adult Health and Wellbeing Board will oversee the delivery of our Plan.
We will hold open meetings at least once a year to engage interested parties and to discuss our progress. These meetings will be widely publicised on this website and elsewhere.
Executive Members of the Council will be kept informed of our progress.
