Drug and Alcohol Advice

Helping you stay independent

Our Services

We offer many different services and types of support for people with drug and alcohol problems living in the Royal Borough of Kingston. We can provide:

  • Counselling, rehabilitation and after care in the community or in residential homes
  • 'Direct Payments' - funds to arrange and manage your own services and support instead of receiving a direct service from us
  • Help to support you carry out parental tasks if you are a disabled mum or dad
  • Services to help those who support and look after you to take a short break
  • Taxi cards and Blue Badge parking permits

Getting a service

Before we can offer you our services we will need to talk to you about your care and support needs. This is called an assessment. We only provide services to people who have or are soon likely to have 'Critical' or 'Substantial' needs. Our leaflet called 'Helping adults keep safe and independent' tells you more about our services and how we decide who we help.
