Day Services for Older People

Following the Council's Executive meeting on 12th June, it has been decided that our Day Services for older people will be based on a single site at Newent House. This will mean the closure of Hobkirk Day Care services.  Everyone currently attending Hobkirk House will be offered a place at Newent House.

The Chair of the Scrutiny Panel has called in the Executive's decision for review. The Scrutiny Panel met on 12 July 2007and recommended that the Executive review and clarify the intended policy on capacity for day care before considering closing Hobkirk House and consolidating the service at Newent House.

The Executive will consider this recommendation at its 4 September 2007 meeting.
