Child protection services in Kingston have been developed to reflect and promote a new balance in safeguarding children from harm, which emphasizes a protective and a supportive response to children and families who are referred as a result of child welfare concerns. This approach has been achieved with the close co-operation of the Police Child Protection Team and with the approval of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
If you are concerned that a child needs protecting from physical, emotional or sexual abuse, or neglect, then please contact the Safeguarding Service if the child is aged 12 and under or the Young People's Service if the young person is 13 or over.
