Freedom Passes can be used to travel free on Transport for London buses, the tube, trams, Docklands Light Railway, at any time and national rail within Greater London after 9.30am. More information is given with the Pass. Freedom Passes are funded by the Royal Borough of Kingstont.
There are three types of Pass:
To qualify for a Freedom Pass as a disabled person you must be aged over 2 years , live in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and be registered (or registerable) as permanently and substantially disabled with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This includes:
We may issue Freedom Passes to people with substantial and long lasting mental health needs or others who do not meet one of the statutory categories of eligibility set out above, at our discretion.

There is no charge for the Pass. Concessionary travel is funded by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

To apply for an Older Persons Freedom Pass you will need to get an application form from your local Post Office, or complete the form on line at the Freedom Pass website (see below). Once you have filled in the application form you will need to take it to your local Post Office together with proof of your name, age and address.
