Information for People with Hearing Impairment

Where can I get help?

If you are having problems due to hearing loss, we recommend that you make an appointment to discuss this with your family doctor.

If necessary your doctor will refer you to the Audiology Department of your local hospital for a hearing test and you may then be provided with a hearing aid.

If you already use a hearing aid and you are having problems with it or you feel that your hearing has become worse, then you should contact your local Audiology Department and ask for an appointment.

If you have difficulty hearing the door bell, telephone or television, there is a variety of equipment available to help you.

Advice on suitable equipment can be obtained from the Specialist Team.
