
The panel provides expert independent assessment of schemes at an early stage in the planning application process. The panel is made up of independent advisors, expert in their field, comprising of architects, landscape architects, urban designers, accessibility specialists, engineers, sculptors, artists and archaeologists. The projects reviewed are put forward by the case officer and design review panel officer and vary from large strategic developments to single houses, including listed buildings and properties within conservation areas and public realm improvement schemes. They may involve submitted applications or council intiated schemes.
The panel meet every six to eight weeks.
