Weed Spraying
We are responsible for the regular weed spraying of pavements (kerb to back edge) and channels on the highways Borough-wide. The weed-spraying may be residual (in the ground to prevent growth of weeds – pavement only) or contact (spraying live weeds – pavement and channel)
The Council currently instructs one residual weed spray in March followed by three contact sprays in April, July and October. Once the weeds are dead they are removed by the street cleaning contractors.
