Street Cleansing
We are responsible for the street cleansing throughout the Borough on all-public roads and pavements. The cleansing consists of the collection and removal of all litter and dirt including grit, detritus, debris, blossom, leaves, dead vegetation, excreta, cans, cartons, paper, debris from road traffic accidents and any other waste matter from the highways. The frequency of cleansing varies from continuous daily town centres to fortnightly in most residential streets.
Street Sweeping Schedules
This information provides you with the list of all highway roads within Kingston that are swept by the borough. Most residential roads are swept on a fortnightly schedule. To see when your street is swept, please open the link below to local services and enter your postcode.
Litter bins
The Council is also responsible for emptying litterbins in the Borough and clearing litter from all public pavements and highways. Enquiries about litter can be made by contacting us.
Street Cleansing Requiring Immediate Attention
The Council is responsible for cleansing services which require remedial action within one hour. We operate to remove oil and paint spillages, dangerous or hazardous fly-tips, debris from road traffic accidents and dead animals.
