Fly-tipping means illegally dumping rubbish, rubble, soil or broken glass. It is dangerous, anti-social and is expensive to remove.
- We remove all fly tips from the Public Highways. If the Flytip is on private land and contains rotting matter or may harbour pests, please contact Environmental Health on 020 8547 5536
- Small fly tips are removed within 12 hours. A large fly tip, which requires a grab lorry, will take up to 3 days to remove.
- To report a fly tip phone 020 8547 5560 or email environment@rbk.kingston.gov.uk. Please provide us with the location by road, size and the description of the material in the tip.
- If you need to remove rubbish that will not be taken away by the ordinary refuse collection provided, please look under Rubbish, Waste and Recycling for the opening time of the Civic Amenity Site (the Tip).
- In addition to reported fly tips, neighbourhood rangers also remove small tips as and when they come across them.
- Fly tipping is a direct contravention of section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. A first offence can, upon conviction, incur a fine of up to £2,500.
