What Can I Recycle at the Recycling Centre?

Below is a guide to the recycling and disposal facilities in Villiers Road, Kingston. The bins at the Recycling Centre are easy to identify.

Glass Glass
Waste Engine Oil Waste Engine Oil

Cans Cans
Scrap Metal Scrap Metal

Textiles, Clothes, Shoes Textiles, Clothes, Shoes
Wood Wood

Plastic Bottles Plastic Bottles
Garden Waste Green Waste

Paper, Cardboard, Telephone Directories Paper, Cardboard

Unwanted electrical items, telephone directories, TV's, computer monitors and bulky household items will also be accepted
Tyres, cooking oil, gas bottles and shredded paper cannot be accepted for recycling

Please note: At present RBK is unable to accept shredded paper for recycling as available disposal routes preclude us from doing this.  We use a high quality paper disposal route in which shredded paper is considered a contaminate and could subject an entire load to landfill.  Our Green Waste disposal contractors experience problems relating to containment of the shredded paper and litter risks on their sites.
