Recycling in Kingston is about to get easier...

A new and greatly improved recycling service is just around the corner...

The new recycling service will roll out across the Borough from Autumn 2008.  Below are details of the existing service, which will continue to operate until then.  

Current Recycling Service in Kingston

We have developed a number of services to help recycle more of your rubbish.  Almost all residents have the opportunity to recycle the following materials from their kerbside:

• Tins and Cans
• Glass Jars and Bottles
• Paper
• Plastic Bottles

The majority of rubbish that Kingston residents send to landfill each year could be recycled or composted. We all play a part in creating this mountain of rubbish and must take responsibility for tackling the problem.

We can start by reducing, reusing and recycling more of your rubbish. This saves you time, money, and benefits the environment.

Green Box Recycling Scheme

If you live in a house within the borough you can have certain recyclables collected in a green recycling box.  For more information on the Green Box Recycling scheme go to the Green Box Recycling Service page.

Flats Recycling Scheme

Six thousand flats in the borough are provided with a the facillity to recycle their waste.  For more information on the Flats Recycling scheme go to the Flats Recycling Service page.
