Why should I use real nappies?
- By using real nappies you can save more than £500 on the cost of keeping a baby in disposable nappies. This takes into account the total cost of laundering nappies at home
- Real nappies are very gentle on your baby's skin, they contain no chemicals and are excellent for babies suffering from eczema or nappy rash.
- Real nappies are soft and fit your baby's shape, come in different sizes and colours and are easy to use
- Modern real nappies fasten easily with velcro or poppers, no more safety pins!
- Biodegradable liners prevent nappies from getting messy and are easily flushed away. Nappies can also be reused for your next child
- Nappies are washed at 60% in your washing machine, no boiling needed
Did you know?
- One baby uses approximately 4000 disposable nappies which can fill 40 large bin bags from birth to potty
- Waste from disposable nappies makes up 4% of household waste in the UK, about one million tonnes
- 8 million nappies are thrown away every day in the UK. That is nearly 3 billion disposable nappies per year
