If you are unable to compost garden waste at home you can take it to the Villiers Road Recycling Centre to be composted.
The Council also provides a reusable, biodegradable Jute bag for the collection of green garden waste. Residents who purchase the bags can place two of them out for collection per week. The bags will be emptied weekly on the same day as your refuse and/or recycling and returned for you to reuse.
Please note, the bags purchased in 2007 and 2008 will not be taken for composting until after the scheme ends and this has now been extended until Febuary 2009.
