Recycling White Goods and Furniture

If you have any white goods, reusable furniture, or IT equipment that you would normally throw away then it can be collected and reused or recycled for a minimal collection charge.  

This charge is £15 for 1-4 items or £25 for 5 - 8 items.

Below is a list of items that can be collected:

White Goods

  • cookers
  • fridges
  • freezers
  • washing machines
  • tumble dryers
  • microwaves
  • dishwashers

Furniture

  • sofas (no larger than a 3 seater)
  • arm chairs
  • tables
  • dining chairs
  • beds
  • mattresses
  • wardrobes
  • chests of drawers
  • cupboards
  • computer desks
  • TV storage units

Sofas, armchairs and upholstered dining chairs must have fire safety labels which feature the words ‘match resistant’ and beds must have labels featuring the words ‘cigarette tested'.  All Items must have no stains and must be whole.

IT equipment

  • All IT equipment

Please note that this service is only applicable to domestic items and domestic properties.

Collection Details

Please keep items for reuse inside your property and ensure someone is in at home on the day of collection.  Collections will only be made from the second floor or below unless there is a working lift, in which case collections will be made from any floor.

These collections are provided by our partners Kingston Community Furniture, and Appliance Re-use Centre (ARC) both registared charities.  By using this service you are supporting local charities and helping to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
