Thames Riverside Projects

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames works in partnership with the Thames Landscape Strategy to bring forward riverside improvements in the borough. Important aspects of this work include Riverside Moorings and Environmental Enhancements.

Summary of Riverside Projects

Half Mile Tree

Half Mile Tree is the first in a series of projects to be delivered through this partnership as part of the 'Putting the Thames Back into Kingston' initiative.

Riverside Walk

Riverside Walk (between Kingston Bridge and the Bishop out of Residence pub) was a scheme to enhance the riverside environment outside the Frere Jacques restaurant and was completed in late 2007.

Kingston Moorings Plan

Kingston Moorings Plan proposals are being worked upon to improve the existing, and introduce new moorings in Kingston Town Centre.

Eagle Brewery Wharf

Plans are being worked upon in Partnership between the Council, local community groups, Design for London, the Thames Landscape Strategy and Transport for London who are the principle funders. The Council consulted on the proposals between Monday 7 January 2008 and Monday 28 January 2008. The consultation is now closed.
