The South London Waste Plan DPD sets out the issues and objectives to be met in waste management for the next ten years. It is a joint DPD and covers the geographical area comprising the London Borough of Croydon, the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames, the London Borough of Merton and the London Borough of Sutton. The South London Waste Plan DPD contains policies to guide the determination of planning applications for waste management facilities and identifies existing waste sites to be safeguarded and areas where waste management development may be suitable.
The Publication Stage on the proposed Submission version of the South London Waste Plan closed on 15th February 2011. The South London Waste Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State on 21 April 2011.
