What is an Annual Monitoring Report?

An Annual Monitoring Report assesses the Council's progress in preparing its Local Development Framework documents as set out in the Local Development Scheme. The Annual Monitoring Report also assesses the performance of current planning policies to determine if they are achieving the desired outcomes, objectives and targets.

An Annual Monitoring Report will be prepared every financial year reporting on the previous financial year which extends from 1 April to 31 March. The most recent Annual Monitoring Report has been prepared for the 2006/07 financial year and was approved by the Council's Executive on 4 December 2007. It was submitted to the Secretary of State for the 31 December deadline.
