K+20 Stage 5: Area Action Plan Examination

The Secretary of State appointed Mr Michael Hetherington, BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI, of the Planning Inspectorate, to conduct the Examination to determine whether the Area Action Plan is sound.

Pre-Examination Meeting

The Inspector held a Pre-Examination Meeting on Wednesday 28 November 2007, to explain the management of the Examination and answer any questions that may arise about the Examination process. The Inspector’s notes from the Meeting are available below.

Examination Hearing Sessions

The Examination hearings were held from Tuesday 29 January 2008 to Wednesday 6 February 2008.
