Sir Francis Barker Recreation ground is situated off the Leatherhead Road and opposite the Barwell trading estate. It has a small car park which leads to the clubhouse and main site.
It’s a large site of some 18 acres and contains a playground (refurbished in 2004), grass and hard surface tennis courts and excellent quality football and cricket pitches. It is also the home of Chessington Cricket Club, which has been established for well over a 100 years. For more information on the club, see the website below. The site is leased to the Sir Francis Barker Management Committee who manages the land on the Council’s behalf.
The site is served by the buses 465, 467 and the K4 and is very close to Chessington World of Adventures.
