Church Fields Recreation Ground is a large site with two main entrances leading from Compton Crescent and Church Road. Both entrances have limited car-parking areas within the site.
The recreation ground is a large site covering an area of 22.5 acres. Church Fields allotments border the recreation ground and can be accessed from the Church Lane entrance. The Church Fields Bowls Club also borders the recreational ground and, although it is privately leased, it is open to the public, contact details below.
On site is a popular children’s playground that caters for children aged from 3 to 14 years. Church Fields has two all-year football pitches which can be booked through the council, contact details below. There are also small 'islands' of nature conservation areas within the site.
There are public toilets easily located on site.
