Hogsmill Valley Walk Strategy

Hogsmill Valley Walk

Consultation Update 2007

The Hogsmill Valley walk Strategy was reviewed at the end of 2005.  Please see the consultation document below. The final version of the document is yet to be published, however only a few changes were made to the orginal consultation document.

Hogsmill Valley Walk Strategy History

The Hogsmill Valley Walk Strategy was adopted by the Royal Borough in June 2002 following consultation with key interested parties in December and January 2001/02. It sets out a series of possible action points for the Hogsmill Valley Project, including identifying suggested priorities where appropriate. The strategy is divided into four parts:

  1. Background.
  2. The general themes of the strategy.
  3. Individual sections of the route with action points.
  4. Summary of action points, possible sources of funding, methodology for implementation and a suggested order of implementation.

The Hogsmill Valley Walk Strategy gives us a general framework, which sets out our goals for the future of the Hogsmill Valley Walk. To help us meet these goals we’ve also put together a series of Local Area Strategies that set out in a bit more detail exactly how we’ll meet those goals. So far we’ve published four Local Area Strategies:

  1. Local Area Strategy 1 – Penrhyn Road to Heron Court.
  2. Local Area Strategy 2 – Knights Park Bridge to Villiers Road.
  3. Local Area Strategy 3 – Villiers Road to the A3.
  4. Local Area Strategy 4 – The A3 to Old Kingston Road.

These strategies contain plans to improve each local area in terms of safety, security and visual amenity. If you would like to read the Hogsmill Valley Walk Strategy or any of the Local Area Strategies, please follow the links below.
