ISIS Awards
The GIS team at the Royal Borough of Kingston were awarded the 2002 prize for IT Excellence by the Society of IT managers (SOCITM), local government’s only award for achievement in the innovative and effective use of IT to improve service delivery.
This follows on from other awards including:-
2001 - Winner of the Association of Geographic Information (AGI) award for Technical Innovation
2001 - Runners Up for the AGI award for Best Practice in Local Government.
2001 - Finalists in the Information Management Awards, in both the Best GIS Project and the Premier Project Categories.
1996 - Commemorative Plaque awarded to RBK by the Ordnance Survey (OS) as the very first Local Authority to order AddressPoint
