Following successful schemes in 2009 and 2010, we will again be operating our Noise Patrol over the Summer.
The scheme will operate on Saturday's from 25 June 2011 to 10 September 2011 inclusive, between midnight and 3:00am. Officers from Environmental Health, accompanied by police officers from Kingston Police, will be available to respond to serious noise problems.
If you are experiencing unreasonable levels of noise during the times that the Patrol is operating, you can telephone 020 8547 5800 and we will do all we can to resolve your problem.
When you call the noise patrol, your call will be answered by a CCTV operator, who will take details of your concerns and pass the information to the noise patrol officer. Please be prepared to give the operator your name, address and a phone number on which the patrol officer can call you back. It will also be helpful if, where possible, you are able to give the operator (or the noise patrol officer) details of where the noise is coming from.
In most cases, the noise patrol officer will call you back before they visit to confirm that you are still being affected by the noise, or to gather further information. Occasionally, we receive a number of calls about different noise issues at around the same time, and whilst the noise patrol officer will prioritise calls, there may unfortuantely be a delay in an officer visiting or calling you back.
During office hours, further information on the noise patrol is available from Environmental Health by email to environmental.health@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or by calling 020 8547 5002.
