Businesses – Join the Big Switch Off
The Big Switch Off campaign will bring together businesses in the borough in one joint environmental action. We are asking all businesses in the borough (retailers, restaurants, public offices, banks, etc) to switch off lights and equipment overnight, over the weekend and when the business is closed – for the week beginning 4 March 2013.
The Big Switch Off will run from Monday 4 March to Sunday 10 March 2013.
Why join?
This is a very visual campaign that will increase your businesses’ reputation and have a positive impact on the businesses’ bottom line. We will support the initiative with a high profile PR campaign – including: local press and radio, pamphlets, posters, newsletter, websites and social media (twitter, Facebook, etc).
The Big Switch Off campaign is supported by:

Businesses can also make an eco footprint pledge
We are also asking businesses and residents to help the borough reduce its overall environmental impact. You can sign the eco footprint pledge and join thousands of residents and businesses who are committed to taking action for a better local and global environment.
