
A month of green-themed events and activities will put environmental and sustainability issues firmly in the spotlight during May.
Paint the Town Green festival has been running for three years and is now the biggest environmental event in the Borough. It will run from Friday 1 May until Thursday 28 May and will feature a whole host of community events that aim to entertain, educate and inform residents.
The festival has come about thanks to a joint effort by Kingston Council and a collective group of organisations interested in raising the profile of the environmental agenda. Among organisations involved are the following and other environmental groups
With events as varied as a public screening of environmental films through to Real Nappy Starter Classes, Going Green Days, road shows and the broadcast of the first Kingston Green Radio, there’s sure to be something to interest everyone.
More and more organisations in the Borough are working to protect our environment, from business taking significant steps to reduce their environmental Impact or Ecological Footprint, to charities and other community organisations joining national efforts to contribute to tackle Climate Change. Paint the Town Green festival is your chance to become more active in environmental issues and promote what you are doing to your customers and clients.
