Building Regulations require that anyone undertaking controllable building work firstly submits a valid application and then notifies us when they reach the following stages, so that we have the opportunity to make an inspection:
1. Start of Work
2. Excavations
3. Foundation Concrete
4. Oversite (Ground floor preparation)
5. Damp-proof course
6. Foul water drainage
7. Surface water drainage
8. Occupation before completion
9. Completion of works
Inspections should preferably be booked not less than the day before the inspection is required, although we do provide for same day inspections when these are agreed by phone before 10.00 am.
Most of the inspections that we make are carried out between 11.00am and 3.00pm hrs weekdays.
