Building Control Services:
We aim to provide quality, efficient, cost effective and competitive Building Control Services
We undertake to do this in partnership with you by:
- providing you with free pre-application advice by telephone or in the office
- registering and acknowledging the receipt of your application within 2 working days including a named Surveyor contact with direct line, mobile number and e-mail address
- aiming to carry out a technical check of your full plans application within 10 working days
- issuing a decision on your full plans application within 5 weeks or, if you agree to an extended time period, within two months of its deposit
- working with you to minimise the possibility of us having to reject your full plans application
- aiming to reply to your general enquiry letters, faxes and e-mails within 10 working days
- providing you with a responsive site inspection service. Where appropriate we will carry out your site inspections within 24 hours of notification and the same day if you ask us before 10.00 am
- responding to urgent dangerous structure incidents within 1 hour of notification
- aiming to provide you with administrative and technical assistance with any general enquiries during the entire working day
- aiming to answer 95% of your telephone calls within 6 rings and returning 95% of calls within 4 hours
- issuing you with a Completion Certificate within 24 hours of our satisfactory final inspection
- seeking your views in helping us continue to develop and improve on the services we provide
