Financial year 2007/08:
During the financial year:
- We received over 1650 new applications for work to be checked for Building Regulations compliance with an estimated value of £90m.
- We received over 2500 notifications of other work including Unvented Hot Water Systems, Cavity Wall Insulation, and Fensa (replacement double glazing) certificates.
- We undertook over 10,000 inspections of work in progress.
- We spent less than 3 pence per head of population per week in providing non fee-earning services e.g. dealing with dangerous structures, demolitions, enforcement, general enquiries, advice regarding access and facilities for disabled people, solicitors enquiries, Approved Inspector and Competent Persons Notifications.
- Of over 800 full plan applications received, we checked 88% within 10 working days and 99% within 15 working days.
